WHAT: The Port of Baltimore Tricentennial Committee will host PORT 300! — the Signature
  Event commemorating the 300th  anniversary of the Port of Baltimore.
  Approximately one thousand guests will celebrate this milestone event at the newly
  unveiled $13 million cruise ship terminal in South Locust Point.
  With FOX news anchor, Brit Hume, as the Keynote speaker, and the popular
  swinging band, Mood Swings, featuring classic big band sounds, the night is sure to
  be spectacular.  Enjoy tours on local historic vessels; socialize with characters from
  Baltimore’s maritime history; celebrate 300 years of the Port’s success with a cocktail
  reception, seated dinner, and dancing.  Dress is black tie optional.

    Ship John  W.  Brown, 100-year-old Steam Tug Baltimore, and

    (Be sure to wear low-heeled shoes!)  
  7 – 7:45 p.m.   Cocktail reception with “living history” characters
  8 p.m. Seated dinner  
  9 p.m. Program and dessert (Keynote Speaker Brit Hume)
  10 – 11 p.m.     Dancing (Music provided by Mood Swings)
  11 p.m. Fireworks display  
TICKETS: Tickets are available ONLY in advance and will cost $150 per person.  They can be

  outreach for the Port of Baltimore.   There is no sales tax on event tickets.

Under the leadership of the Honorable Helen Delich Bentley, the Port of Baltimore Tricentennial Committee was created in June 2005. The Port of Baltimore Tricentennial Committee is a group of maritime industry experts as well as representatives from the city and state who are coordinating efforts to promote the 300th celebration year of the Port of Baltimore. Campaigns throughout the year recognizing the 300th anniversary include a signature event to be held in June 2006, bus tours of Dundalk and Seagirt Marine Terminals, participation in the city’s semi-annual Waterfront Festival and the Volvo Ocean Race in the Inner Harbor, the unveiling of a commemorative 300th anniversary license plate and fine lithograph print, as well as special exhibits and activities with partner organizations.
